Another sign of GOP division

I’ve been rambling for days about how the GOP is headed for a split into two parties:

  • One that promotes individual rights, low taxes and limited government spending, and
  • One that wants government ready for the Rapture.

Anyone who paid attention in U.S. history class knows the seeds of the Reagan Revolution were planted in 1964 by Arizona Sen. Barry Goldwater. That’s why this column by his granddaughter is more proof that the GOP is anything but united.

Baseless attacks and desperate measures got Sen. McCain the nomination of his party. It’s also losing him the election.

Can these ladies moderate the debates?

I’m not a fan of The View (something about my having boy parts and a day job), but the ladies did a great job today with their interview of Sen. McCain. If anything, the media assigned to the campaigns and White House could get some pointers from them. No softball questions here. Even Elisabeth Hasselbeck stepped to the plate — after telling the old man she had his vote, of course.

In other obvious news, the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning.

And I just thought John McCain was the only one to do a 180-degree turn from the candidate he was in 2000 to the one he is in 2008. The great Jon Stewart provides us with four more examples.
